I keep my own finances in a Tiller sheet. All the numbers were there, but every new question meant building the analysis myself. I wanted dashboards that did that work for me, so I built them, and that became Dollar Insights.
It's small and independent. I read support email myself, and feedback from Tiller users shapes what I build next.
How it works
- 1. Pick your sheetChoose your Tiller sheet in Google's file picker. Only that one file is read, and it is never changed.
- 2. It loads on your deviceYour transactions and balances are stored in your browser. Your financial data isn't sent to Dollar Insights servers or to outside AI services.
- 3. Read the dashboardsOverview, Analyzing, Accounts, Spending, Budgeting and Planning, worked out the same way every time.
What it doesn't do
It doesn't connect to your bank, accept CSV uploads, sync between devices, or give financial advice. Each browser keeps its own copy, and the decisions stay yours. To use your own data you need a Tiller subscription, which is separate.
